La Unidad iPEDITEC pone en contacto diario a los trabajadores de la salud con ingenieros que desarrollan software para la captura de señales a través de dispositivos móviles. Estudiar los parámetros psicológicos que faciliten la terapia personalizada ha sido un objetivo prioritario durante 2021, redundando en la mejora del tratamiento de los pacientes pediátricos obesos en la Unidad.

– El Programa PAIDO está enfocado a la atención médica personalizada ampliada a través de iniciativas en las que participan familiares, educadores, nutricionistas, físicos docentes de educación y otros agentes sociales. El tratamiento va más allá del ámbito hospitalario para incluir el entorno y la esfera personal del niño y se apoya en tecnologías de inteligencia artificial de última generación.

– Mejorar el conocimiento de la vida fetal y el crecimiento posnatal sobre el desarrollo de factores de riesgo cardiometabólico en etapas tempranas la vida. La cohorte KITE es un estudio prospectivo que comienza en el nacimiento y evalúa los determinantes de los factores de riesgo cardiometabólicos en las primeras décadas de vida. Los datos ómicos del cordón umbilical están disponibles y el análisis de la interacción entre los datos clínicos y los ómicos puede ayudar a introducir acciones en períodos críticos de la vida y la contribución potencial para reducir la enfermedad cardiometabólica más adelante en la vida.
