Research Group on Reproductive Medicine
Reproductive Medicine Area
Our activity focuses on biomedical research in the field of reproductive medicine and women’s gynecological health, through the development and implementation of clinical and molecular studies. Our goal is to improve the efficiency of treatments and diagnoses in the field. To achieve this, we use an approach based on personalized medicine applied to reproductive medicine and the utilization of emerging new technologies, such as genomic studies, characterization of individual cells in the human uterus both in health and disease, and advanced cell therapies applied to regenerative medicine related to the endometrium. Our main lines of research include: studying the impact of the microbiome on women’s health and reproductive health, analyzing late gestational pathologies such as preeclampsia, menopause, uterine tumors, and uterine and ovarian cancer, among other topics.
