Appointed by the Board of Trustees on the proposal of the Governing Board, its functions are set out in article 20 of the Statutes of the 3rd of May 2022.
Responsible for the implementation and coordination of the economic policy established by the Board of Trustees.
Holds ex officio membership of the Governing Board and attends the Board of Trustees as a member without vote.
This appointment is a renewable six-year position
Functions
According to the statutes, its functions are:
- Representing the Foundation in the absence of the president and the vice-presidents.
- Lead the economic policy of the Foundation in accordance with the decisions of the Foundation’s governing bodies.
- Implement and enforce the decisions of the governing bodies of the Foundation, both the Board of Trustees and the Governing Board.
- Represent the Foundation at institutional meetings, congresses and any other events of a similar nature in which the Foundation participates, in the absence of the president and the vice-presidents.
- Ensure the operation of the general services of the Foundation and to coordinate the work of each unit.
- Be the superior head of the staff.
- Enter into such agreements, acts and supplies, works and services contracts as may be necessary for the ordinary management of the same, in execution of the annual budget approved by the Board of Trustees.
- Request, with the broadest powers, any type of paper or digital certificate from the Foundation for all public administration bodies and/or any type of public or private organization or entity.
- Monitor the investment, training and cooperation programmes, together with the scientific director.
- Promote relations with other public and private organisations.
- Coordinate relations between the Foundation, the Hospital Clínico Universitario, the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Valencia.
- Draw up, in agreement with the scientific director, for submission to the Governing Board, the Action Plan and the budget of the Foundation.
- Draw up, for submission to the Governing Board, the Annual Accounts, Annual Report and Inventory of the Foundation, as well as to submit to the Governing Board Accounts Audit Reports.
- Implement and manage the Action Plan and the budget of the Foundation, following the instructions of the governing bodies of the Foundation.
- Implementing Board of Trustee decisions by handling the corresponding paperwork to award supplies, works and services contracts in line with current legislation.
- Request, with the broadest powers, any type of paper or digital certificate from the Foundation for all public administration bodies and/or any type of public or private organization or entity.
- Attend Board of Trustee meetings as a member without vote.
